Requirements
Grade 12
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a roads and storm water
maintenance, construction environment or related field
Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
Must be able and willing to work outside normal working hours
in all weather conditions
A valid code B driver’s license
Key Performance Areas
Carry out inspections relating to or impacting on the provision
of Roads and Storm water Infrastructure
Engaging with external stakeholders
Assist in coordinating roads infrastructure maintenance activities
Assisting in wayleave, and carriageway crossing applications
and compiling work permits
Filing relevant documents for easy retrieval
Maintain the standards in the technical library
Ensure Contractors comply with legislation and policy
Record keeping and compiling reports onsite inspection outcomes
Compiling cost estimates
Compile snag list of projects when they are completed (for as
built purposes)
Providing technical and administrative support to the relevant
role players within the department
