Job Purpose Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape has opportunities for two (2) suitably qualified and competent individuals to support, maintain and optimise information systems and accompanying business processes related to the provision of integrated and reliable Immovable Asset Management Information and system support.

Minimum Requirements An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) related field, such as Computer Science / Information Systems / Technology and/or Engineering; A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a role involving system support and/or business analyses.

Recommendation Advanced Computer Literacy (PowerApps, SQL, Python); Experience in the following areas: Immovable Asset Management experience within the public sector; Data & Information Management, system administration and user support; Business process management.

Key Performance Areas End-User Support & Troubleshooting - Provide first-line support and troubleshoot issues related to asset management systems such as SharePoint, BPM, and related ICT platforms; Maintain a log of incidents and resolutions; System Administration & User Access Management - Create, modify, and manage user accounts and access rights in line with organisational policies, ensuring system security, compliance, and regular access reviews; System Monitoring & Maintenance - Monitor system performance, coordinate upgrades, patches, and integrations with internal stakeholders and vendors; support testing, deployment, and system optimisation initiatives; Data Management & Analysis - Collect, clean, transform, and analyse asset-related data; identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities to enhance reporting accuracy and data quality; Process Documentation & Business Support Gather, map, document and analyse business processes, assist in procedure manual development, and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation through data-driven insights; Reporting & Visualization - Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); Ensure data visualizations are accurate, relevant, and aligned to business needs; Training, Communication and Knowledge Sharing - Conduct user training on systems and software usage, develop user guides and documentation, and coordinate system-related communications and information dissemination.

Remuneration R 397 116 - R 467 790 per annum (Salary level 8)
