Contract Management



Requirements



  • Candidates with a relevant three-year tertiary qualification or

relevant B degree will be given preference



  • Minimum of five (5) to eight (8) years relevant experience in

managing vendor contracts as well as drafting of tenders.



Key Performance Areas



  • Vendor and Contract Management: Plan and implement all

deliverables in accordance with the Contract Management



Framework principles and practices to ensure that



technologies, methods and associated processes contracted



are delivered/completed on time, within budget and per



agreed specifications



  • Pursue a complete understanding and maintain an adequate

level of knowledge of SCM-related, municipal, national and



other processes and methods, and functions in support of



tenders and contracts



  • Management requirements emanating from the IS&T

infrastructure Branch and related parties



  • Ensure sustained tender coverage resulting in effective

tender awards



  • Increase the number of active contracts while limiting the

number of deviations and contract amendments



  • Ensure quality assurance, compliance and performance

excellence for IS&T infrastructure tenders and contracts is



achieved



  • Ensure there is no break in tender coverage by proactive

monitoring and reporting of the full contract lifecycle



  • Relationship management and engagement of both internal

and external stakeholders involved in tender implementation,



tender management and/or contract management roles and



responsibilities including but not limited to SCM,



Management in and outside of IS&T infrastructure, ED: CS,

City Manager, IS&T TACS, CS-CMU, CS-PMO, IS&T



Branches, CCT Legal, CCT Appeal Authority, Suppliers etc.



  • Ensure a climate conducive to promoting and sustaining

motivational levels, productivity, performance and improving



the quality of work-life is cultivated and maintained enabling



the division to meet its service delivery objectives.
