Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) regulations and internal safety policies.



Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits.



Assist in the development and implementation of site-specific health and safety plans.



Conduct safety inductions and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.



Investigate incidents and near-misses and prepare detailed reports with root cause analysis and corrective actions.



Maintain accurate safety records, including registers, reports, and safety files.



Promote safety awareness and foster a culture of continuous safety improvement.



Liaise with project managers, contractors, and regulatory authorities as needed.



SACPCMP Registered Safety Officer (non-negotiable)



Relevant qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, or equivalent)



Minimum 25 years of experience in a similar role (construction or engineering environment preferred)



Working knowledge of OHS legislation (OHS Act and applicable regulations)



Strong report writing and communication skills



Computer literacy (MS Office)



Valid drivers license and own transport (preferred or required)
