Purpose of the job:

This role is designed to enable the strategic positioning of the PPSI business, solutions and its funds. As the successful candidate, you will learn the fundamentals of how PPS Investments communicates its value proposition to the market while working closely with the positioning, product and investment teams. Your primary function will be to assist in preparing materials that help financial advisers, large aggregators and investors understand our platform, investment solutions and fund management. It provides a unique opportunity to build a foundation for a career in investments working closely to understand data, trends and providing insights.



This position is ideal for a recent graduate or individual in the early stages of their career with a keen interest in investments, who is eager to develop their analytical and communication skills in a dynamic environment.

Minimum Requirements

Ideal experience:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in the investment industry with a basic understanding of the LISP, DFM and Asset Management environments.

  • Data analytics experience would be advantageous.

Ideal qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree with a focus in investment management, economics and/ or finance.

Competencies and ideal personality attributes:

  • Willing to take direction and able to work independently, demonstrating initiative

  • Proactive and can-do attitude.

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • The ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines

Systems knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Power BI and Morningstar would be an advantage

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sales enablement

  • Assist with due diligence process when loading new Management companies or unit trusts and collating due diligence requirements for external management companies

  • Provide reporting and other ad hoc requests from Management companies and brokerages.

  • Assist distribution with requests regarding positioning material.

  • Provide support to internal departments on fund and positioning requests.

  • Data Gathering and Presentation Assistance

  • Assist the team in creating and updating PowerPoint presentations for various audiences, including clients, new business pitches, and internal staff updates.

  • Perform monthly updates for all regularly used marketing and presentation materials to ensure data is current.

  • Gather and format data for individual funds, including:

    • Asset allocation

    • Top 10 holdings

    • Performance data and graphs

  • Ensure all materials are correctly branded and consistent with company standards.

  • Work closely with the marketing and communication team to plan deliverables and distribute relevant content to specific audiences.

  • Research and Content Support

  • Together with the positioning team, assist with research on the asset management landscape including competitor analysis and industry trends.

  • Work with the marketing team to enable the agreed activity for distribution. This includes assisting with the drafting and or editing of copy for social media posts, emails, and newsletters.
