Job Description
To safely and efficiently manage the receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of explosive materials within the magazines, ensuring compliance with regulatory & safety requirements
Required outputs: functional
Ensure a safe working environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements
Coordinate and manage warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of explosive materials.
Maintain effective inventory management systems to ensure accurate tracking and control of explosive materials
Budget control for field magazines/ depot
Quality management (on time, in full)
Stock control and stock management
Inventory Management & accuracy
Infrastructure maintenance reporting
People management and development
Supervise and develop warehouse personnel to achieve optimal productivity, quality, and security
Support continual business improvement and change management
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
Adhere to legislative requirement
Comply with Safety, Health, Environment and legislative requirement
Comply with governance and established policies, systems, procedures and practices
Qualifications & Experience
Matric
Diploma in Supply Chain
At least 2 years’ experience in managing a depot/ field magazines within explosives
A Magazine Master certificate will be an advantage
Explosives background and regulatory requirements strongly preferred
Exposure to Supply chain processes – stock management
SAP knowledge
Excellent understanding of the Safety & Health process
Intermediate skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Ability to write reports
