PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To monitor and drive the performance of the team so that operational plans and KPIs of the DC are met whilst at the same time promoting the culture of Sikhula KunYe.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors headcount and provides input into daily labour requirements

Allocate work/tasks and targets to individuals: provides clear guidelines and drives performance

Resources (e.g. talkman/batteries) are available and in working order so that productivity targets can be met

Monitors and reports on productivity for each shift

Walks in the department to ensure delivery on the operational plans

Identifies operational issues, takes action to resolve and informs different departments that may be impacted

Hourly production reports

Leads and motivates staff in alignment with Sikhula KunYe culture

Monitor and Escalates daily disciplinary issues e.g late comings, absenteeism, etc. to the Supervisor/Planning Manager

Ensures compliance with health and safety requirements

Manage housekeeping and health and safety in departments

Manage lost time in departments

Ensures that ORE standards are maintained

2 3 years experience within a DC environment

Grade 12

Knowledge of distribution techniques

Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations will be an advantage
