Job Purpose The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably and competent individual to render a data capturing service.
Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
Recommendation Relevant administrative experience; Proven Data Capturing and general office experience; A valid code B (or higher) driving license. NB People with disabilities that restrict driving abilities, but who have reasonable access to transport, may also apply.
Key Performance Areas Ensure logsheets are correctly and safely maintained: Controlling of information on logsheets; Capture logsheets on the system; Print missing logsheets; Capture overtime logsheets; Capture issue notes; Capture data from available records into the required formats e.g. databases, table, spreadsheet; Verify, query missing data and errors observed during data entry; Review and validate all data from the records; Submit data; Make regular backups of data; Update registers and statistics; Keep and maintain records and files; Ensure records and files are properly sorted and secured; System Management; General Administration.
Competencies Computer literacy in MS Office; Good verbal & written communication skills; Sound organizational skills; Good people skills; Client orientation and Customer Focus; Planning and Organising.
Remuneration R 193 359 - R227 766 per annum (Salary level 4)
Note on remuneration in addition to service benefits or obligations for qualifying employees (medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc) are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
Notes Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit documentation for verification purposes and criminal record vetting. These candidates will be required to complete a practical assessment and attend interviews on a date and time determined by the department and may also be required to undergo competency assessments/proficiency tests. The selection process will be guided by the EE targets of the employing department.
