We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator to set up, maintain and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines. You will be responsible for producing high-quality precision parts and ensuring the machines are running efficiently and accurately.

ROLE PURPOSE

  • Programming, setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machining.

  • Measure and verify all calculations prior to setting up the machinery.

  • Enter all relevant codes to specify the feed, speed, and cut of any toolpath for a CNC.

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, drawings and work instructions.

  • Loading and unloading workpieces and CNC production equipment.

  • Monitoring machining operations and performing quality control checks.

  • Following safety requirements and maintaining certifications.

  • Complete routine maintenance of their machinery.

  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment.

  • Shift work.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Skills

  • Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings.

  • Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude.

  • Strong comprehension and analytical abilities.

  • Good computer and mathematical skills.

  • Understanding of Fanuc controls

  • Experience on Vertical CNC lathes will be advantageous

Qualifications

  • Certificate or diploma in engineering is an advantage.

  • 3 years experience as a CNC Machine Operator.

  • Relevant trade qualification required

  • Microsoft Office Intermediate

  • Valid drivers license
