Job Title: Assembly Quality Inspector

Location: Gqeberha

Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Automotive Quality Inspector to join our team. Their ultimate goal is to ensure that every vehicle that leaves the assembly line is safe, reliable, and meets both the companys and the customers expectations. The Quality Inspector is primarily responsible for ensuring that vehicles and their components meet all safety standards and are free from defects. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, have a solid understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and quality control measures, and possess a keen eye for identifying issues.

The candidate will be expected to provide a proven track record of experience with contactable references. Candidates who meet the criteria specified in this job specification will be considered for interview.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Have the relevant work experience in the inspection of passenger car interior components, body exterior paint, static, and dynamic inspection. Check the functionality of the parts and systems of the vehicles. Identify any malfunctions, defects, or deviations in the product.

· Inspect incoming parts and components for passenger vehicles as well as various truck models. Comparing the product with the standards and specifications outlined. Recording findings, preparing inspection reports, and presenting to relevant teams.

· Utilizing precision measuring tools and equipment to perform inspections. Ensuring compliance with quality standards and regulations.

· Recommending improvements to the production process to ensure quality control. Performing routine inspections and maintenance on inspection equipment

· Conducting training sessions on quality control activities. Conducting tests to ensure the reliability and performance of the vehicle

· Working closely with production teams to ensure high-quality output. Ensure that corrective actions are taken when necessary

· Review the assembly process and specifications to ensure they are being properly followed on the assembly line.

· Understand the vehicle audit process and be prepared to present audit findings to senior management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· Grade 12

· AMIC certificate for Vehicle Assembly or Qualified trade-tested technician (Mechanical or Electrical)

· Minimum 5 years in an automotive assembly-related OEM environment

· Minimum 2 years as a quality inspector

· Code 08 or higher driver's license with at least 2 years of driving experience

· Driver experience related to vehicle testing would be preferred
